October 12, 2026

The CCIM Institute brought the global CCIM community and commercial real estate industry together at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown for a week of education, dealmaking, networking, leadership, and milestone moments. With over 50 events in five days, there is A LOT to unpack from our time in Los Angeles. Click on the days and events below to get in-depth look at what happened at our 2026 Fall Forum.

Day One: Sunday, October 4 - Welcome to Los Angeles!
Fall Forum kicked off with attendees arriving from across the country and around the world, ready to reconnect with colleagues and experience Southern California. Candidates began right away with their Core Concepts Review in preparation for the Comprehensive Exam, while other attendees headed out for the Malibu 4x4 Wine Experience and Ultimate Coastal Tour. The first day ended with a Welcome Reception, presented by Lee & Associates, to celebrate the gathering of the CCIM community and the days ahead.

Day Two: Monday, October 5 - Big Ideas and Excellence in CRE
Monday brought the future into focus through expert discussions, emerging technology, and industry perspectives. From Esri’s Jack Dangermond's Keynote Lunch on the power of data to Tech Talks (sponsored by Crexi) and Industry Insights, attendees explored how technology and intelligence are shaping the industry. Currently Commercial had its first ever live session about data centers, while our expert panels on The Future of CRE and Leveraging Tech continued the conversations. The evening ended with a focus on impact at the CCIM Celebration of Excellence, recognizing Dealmakers, Instructors, and Volunteers. At the event, our 2026 Global President Adam Palmer, CCIM, SIOR, had a Fireside Chat with Rick Caruso, Founder & Executive Chairman of Caruso, exploring development, leadership, community investment, and the future of real estate.

Day Three: Tuesday, October 6 - Global Perspectives and the Power of The Pin
Tuesday marked a major milestone for CCIM candidates as they completed the Comprehensive Exam, bringing months of preparation and dedication to a defining moment in their professional journeys. Our expert panels continued with discussion on  Underwriting the Horizon, Beyond the Deal, National Retail Outlook, and Global CRE Outlook. A second day of Tech Talks and Industry Insights offered practical strategies for putting technology, market intelligence, and industry expertise to work. A unique and interactive keynote lunch with Mentalist Joshua Seth demonstrated insights into communication psychology and relationships, while the day wrapped up with one of our most meaningful traditionals, The Global Pinning Ceremony, where new Designees received their Pin, while also recognizing International Designees from around the world.

Day Four: Wednesday, October 7 - Leadership, Connections, and a New Chapter
As Fall Forum continued, attention turned toward the leadership and future direction of The CCIM Institute, as votes were cast for our 2027 Leadership Team. Jim Tansey was voted in as 2027 First Vice President and The Board of Directors Meeting combined all the important governance discussions that took place the days prior. Chapter Officer Training also took place, helping our leaders across the country lead with organization and strength. Finally, the day ended with a red carpet celebration for the 2027 Global Presidential Inaugural Gala, welcoming Andie Edmonds, CCIM, as the incoming 207 Global President.

Day Five: Thursday, October 8 – On-Site Understanding
The final day of Fall Forum was solely focused on the Los Angeles Investment & Site Tour. This special tour took attendees to The Big 4 (Cities of Commerce, City of Industry, Santa Fe Springs, and Vernon), giving attendees a first-hand view of LA county’s industrial and municipal functions.

Connections That Carry Us Forward
Through Fall Forum, The Dealmaking & Networking Lounge brought CCIMs together to exchange ideas, build relationships, and uncover new opportunities. The Deal Wall showcased dozens of member-submitted deals, putting active opportunities directly in front of attendees and creating connections that will extend well beyond Los Angeles.

With the momentum from Fall Forum still going strong, excitement is already building for the 2027 Spring Forum in Orlando, Florida, April 12–15.

To our attendees, speakers, partners, and the entire CCIM network, thank you for making this one of our best Forums yet. The connections made, knowledge shared, and milestones achieved are what make these gatherings so meaningful. We can't wait to see what's next!
