Bonus Benefits
The CCIM
Institute continues to look for ways to make your membership more valuable. I’m
pleased to tell you about three new benefits that will increase the return on
your investment in our organization.
In May,
the Institute finalized a master service agreement with Xceligent to enhance
the technology offered through CCIM’s Site to Do Business. These improvements
include the integration of Xceligent’s powerful CommercialSearch product and
ESRI’s Business Analyst Online 4.0, a dynamic, customized web-based site
evaluation and market analysis system. These expanded tech tools will allow
CCIM members to improve their productivity and service to clients. Thanks to
the following members and their committees for the countless hours spent
bringing this product forward: Wayne D’Amico, CCIM, Joel Kahn, CCIM, Leil Koch,
CCIM, Nick Miner, CCIM, and Robin Webb, CCIM.
The
Institute also rolled out the new CCIM Green online building efficiency
platform in May. With this free service, members can analyze their properties —
and their clients’ properties — to improve energy efficiency and obtain
competitive bids from a range of local service providers to assist in
retrofitting projects. Visit www.ccim.com/green for my personal story about how
CCIM Green improved the net operating income of many properties in my brokerage
company’s portfolio.
Finally,
I’m excited to unveil the Institute’s annual conference partnership with ALM
Real Estate Media Group, publishers of Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com. This
designation promotion effort was initiated by Steve Moreira, CCIM, and Wayne
D’Amico, CCIM, and has already produced great success in moving our designation
promotion forward. We have been collaborating with ALM this year for the
RealShare industry networking events. Our annual conference, CCIM Thrive, will
be held Oct. 21–22 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. Mark your
calendar for this high-level industry event.
I invite
each of you to take advantage of these new member benefits as well as the many
existing programs and services CCIM offers.
