Florida CCIMs formed a team in the $2.7 million sale of a retail strip center
in Tampa, Fla. Ron Struthers, CCIM, of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT in Punta
Gorda, Fla., represented the buyer, and worked alongside Maryann Mize, CCIM, of
Charlotte State Bank & Trust in Port Charlotte, Fla., and a partner. As a
result, Mize closed a $1.9 million loan. “The CCIM connection Ron and I share
made this transaction possible,” Mize says. “We routinely use the knowledge
base of the CCIM core curriculum, powerful technology tools, and networking
programs in our business.” Currently, Mize and Struthers are officers in the
Southwest Florida District CCIM Chapter. Mize serves as CCIM senior instructor
who also chairs the Institute’s Ward Center for Real Estate Studies
Subcommittee and is a member of the Marketing Committee. “The CCIM experience
means so much to me and my career,” she added. Struthers concurs and says, “The
