President's Desk
Increasing Your ROI
One of
my top goals as the 2014 CCIM Institute President has been to integrate today’s most useful online technology with our
analysis tools to deliver a data-driven, mobile experience for industry
professionals. I’m
pleased to announce that the Institute has successfully achieved this with the
enhanced STDB platform, which is driven by Xceligent, and includes Esri’s Business Analyst Online 4.0 and ArcGIS. These
online tools combined with the skills gleaned in the CCIM designation
curriculum give designees the expertise to analyze options and solve problems
in real time — which translates into better client service and more return on
your investment in CCIM.
This
fall CCIM also rolled out DealShare, a more sophisticated version of the former
MailBridge member email platform, and CCIM Connect, a private online community
exclusively for members.
We’ve also infused more technology into CCIM’s educational offerings. CCIM launched a new
course delivery model for the CI 101 course that gives students access to an
online knowledgebase of resources and includes a blend of online, video, and
in-person instruction. In the coming months CCIM will roll out this blended
model across the entire designation curriculum, solidifying its place as one of
the most forward-thinking education providers in the industry.
Finally,
I’m
pleased to say that many corporate organizations have chosen to use the CCIM
education for their employees’ professional development. Corporations such as GE and
PricewaterhouseCoopers have presented CCIM courses to help their employees gain
a distinct advantage in the industry.
As I
prepare to pass the gavel to 2015 President Mark Macek, CCIM, I’d like to remind all members that the value of
CCIM’s
education, networking, and technology transcends the brokerage and investment
communities. Whether you are a leasing professional, asset manager, appraiser,
lender, or any other allied professional in commercial real estate, CCIM offers
unique advantages in the industry.
