Commercial Realty in Cleveland asked CCIM instructor Alec
Pacella,CCIM,
if he knew of any designees in Texas to help him buy medical office properties
in the state, Pacella referred him to fellow instructor Alex
Johnson, CCIM, of Laurex Realty
Advisors in Plano. “Ted only wanted to work with CCIMs,” Johnson says. “We speak
the same language.” Johnson represented Barr, an executive for Creekside
Medical Properties, in the more than $4.8 million purchase of a 31,363-sf
medical office building in College Station, Texas, from Muco Verde LLC. “It
also helped that the seller’s broker has a CCIM in their firm who is a former
student of mine,” Johnson says. “It is all about relationships.”
