Connect With Colleagues
In today’s commercial real estate industry, sharpening your skills and building your network are essential to remain competitive in the marketplace. The CCIM & IREM Success Series 2007 conference, Oct. 19–20 in San Antonio, is an ideal opportunity to achieve both of these goals in one place. CCIM Institute and the Institute of Real Estate Management are teaming up again this year to provide two days of industry-leading education and invaluable resource-building opportunities for commercial real estate and property management professionals.
Success Series 2007 will feature educational sessions on some of the most important topics in the industry, including effective negotiation strategies, best practices in technology, financial analysis methods, professional and business development, tenant retention, site management, capital markets activity, and foreign investment in the U.S. In addition, CCIMs are encouraged to bring their properties and equity to the Success Series marketing session, a repeat of the deal-making forum that resulted in nearly $1 billion in transactions last year.
The conference also features Steve Forbes, president and chief executive officer of Forbes Inc. and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine. Forbes will share his personal insights on some of today’s most compelling business issues in his keynote address, “America’s Promise for Hope, Growth, and Opportunity.” In addition, John Tuccillo, a nationally renowned real estate economist and former chief economist for the National Association of REALTORS®, will provide an economic forecast and outlook for commercial real estate in 2008 and beyond.
Education isn’t the only reason to join us in San Antonio — there will be plenty of networking opportunities and entertainment as well. The Success Series golf tournament will be held at the Pecan Valley Golf Club, consistently ranked as a top public course by Golf Digest. Sponsorship proceeds from the golf event will be donated to the CCIM Institute and IREM education foundations. Evening events include a private concert by Mickey Thomas and Starship, whose Billboard Top 40 hits span three decades, and a gala under the stars in the historic La Villita neighborhood.
Success Series 2007 is open to all commercial real estate and allied professionals, with more than 1,200 practitioners expected to attend. CCIM and IREM recognize the power in partnerships and the importance of connecting the commercial real estate and property management communities.
