Carleen Barth, CCIM, elected 2027 Treasurer-Elect
During The CCIM Institute 2026 Spring Forum, Carleen Barth, CCIM, was elected Treasurer-Elect for 2027, bringing with her a powerful combination of financial expertise, industry leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing The CCIM Institute.
A Texas broker since 1995, Barth is a seasoned real estate investor who manages and directs a multimillion-dollar portfolio specializing in credit-rated, single-tenant, net-leased properties. In addition to her investment work, she owns and operates a brokerage firm and has hands-on experience in construction and development, giving her a comprehensive perspective on the industry. She holds a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University and an M.B.A. from New Mexico State University.
Barth’s impact extends beyond transactions and into education and leadership. In 2019, she co-founded a four-course minor in commercial real estate at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she also served as an adjunct instructor. Since its launch in 2020, the program has created a meaningful academic pathway for students pursuing careers in the field, reflecting Barth’s dedication to developing the next generation of professionals.
Her service to the CCIM community is both extensive and impactful. Over a 10-year span with the Greater El Paso CCIM Chapter, Barth held numerous leadership roles, including Chapter President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Education & Candidate Guidance Chair. During this time, she implemented enhanced financial reporting systems and strengthened internal controls, improving transparency and accountability.
At the Institute level, Barth is currently serving her second consecutive two-year term on the Finance Committee and was the 2025 Education Presidential Liaison. Her additional service includes contributions to the Designation, Marketing, and Strategic Planning Committees, as well as chairing the University Outreach Subcommittee.
