  • Join us for a networking breakfast to hear the State of the Institute from The Management Team and an Economic Update from Brian Bailey, CCIM, CRE, the Managing Director of Bailey Real Estate Consulting, specializing in economic and real estate advisory. He brings decades of experience in commercial real estate valuation, finance, and market analysis, including his former role as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

The Big Short: An Evening With Michael Litt

  • Monday, April 28, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
  • We are beyond excited to welcome Michael Litt, inspiration for the best-selling book The Big Short, as our guest speaker on the evening of Monday, April 28th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm at the InterContinental Miami. His groundbreaking contributions to the book by Michael Lewis, which exposed the shocking truths behind the 2008 financial crisis, became a box-office hit in 2015, starring Steve Carell, Christian Bale, and Ryan Gosling. The four characters from Front Point Partners were based on real people handpicked by Michael himself. This exclusive event goes beyond the pages of The Big Short. Michael will share firsthand insights into his experiences, along with deep dives into interest rates, market trends, commercial real estate, and the power of strategic networkingGet ready for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, insight, and connections.

Michael will offer timely perspectives on the impact of AI in commercial real estate and provide an update on Florida’s evolving economic landscape—equipping attendees with actionable takeaways for navigating today’s market shifts.
  • Following this, the Florida Market Panel brings together industry leaders for a dynamic discussion moderated by 2026 CCIM President Adam Palmer, CCIM. Panelists include Cynthia Shelton, CCIM, a retail investment specialist and CCIM instructor; Tamika Moses, MSIRE, President of the Miami Commercial Board; and Tim Weisheyer, President of Florida Realtors®. Together, they’ll unpack current market realities, share leadership insights, and explore strategies for success in a rapidly changing commercial real estate environment.

Sailing for Scholarships: The CCIM Institute Foundation Networking Fundraiser

  • Tuesday, April 29, 6:30 - 10 p.m.
  • Join The CCIM Institute Foundation, the Florida CCIM Chapter, and the CCIM Miami District for our premier spring networking event and fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will benefit The CCIM Institute Foundation and its scholarship programs. This year’s fundraiser will be held on the Biscayne Lady yacht. Guests will enjoy dinner, cocktails, music, and networking surrounded by the gorgeous Miami Skyline.
