CCIM Institute Announces 2021 Executive Management Team

Timothy S. Blair, CCIM, to lead the organization in 2021.
CCIM Institute, one of the largest commercial real estate networks in the world with members in more than 30 countries, announced its 2021 executive management team at the organization's Annual Governance Meetings held virtually Oct. 21-23 and 26-29. CCIM Institute confers the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation, commercial real estate's global standard for professional achievement.
Timothy S. Blair, CCIM, 2020 president-elect, will serve as president of CCIM Institute, starting Jan. 1, 2021. Blair is a partner with Shannon Waltchack in Birmingham, Ala. His long history of leadership with CCIM Institute includes serving in various capacities on a wide range of committees, including Finance, Marketing, Members Services, Strategic Planning, and Designation. Blair is also on the board of the CCIM Foundation. He began his commercial real estate career more than 20 years ago and earned his CCIM designation in 2006.
Leslie G. Callahan, III, CCIM, president of First Colony Financial Corporation in Atlanta, will serve as 2021 president-elect for the CCIM Institute. After earning his CCIM designation in 1982, he worked extensively with the CCIM Georgia Chapter serving as its president and subsequently on a variety of institute committees, including as the treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee. Currently, Callahan serves on the institute’s board of directors and Executive Committee.
First Vice President David Schnitzer, CCIM, partner at ASCEND Commercial Real Estate in Dallas, has been a part of volunteer leadership at CCIM Institute for over a decade. In addition to serving on multiple committees during his tenure, he was president of the North Texas CCIM Chapter in 2012 and 2013. He served as CCIM Institute presidential liaison in 2017, 2018, and 2020 and president of CCIM Technologies in 2015. Schnitzer has spent the last 17 years in commercial brokerage specializing in retail real estate, land, and investment properties. He is a board member for the North Texas Commercial Association of REALTORS® and earned his CCIM designation in 2008.
2021 CCIM Institute Treasurer, Steve Rich, CCIM, is senior director of retail services with Colliers International in Charlotte, N.C. Previously, he served on the North Carolina CCIM Chapter board of directors, including as its 2012 president, and as Region 9 vice president. At the institute level, he has been a member of the board of directors from 2014 to present and has served on the following: Finance Committee, Governance Committee, Regional Activities Subcommittee, and Networking Subcommittee. Licensed in four states, he has more than 23 years of commercial real estate experience in retail, land, and investment properties. Rich earned his CCIM designation in 2006.
