Port San Antonio’s William Curtis,
CCIM, Mentors Fellow Veterans for Careers in Commercial Real Estate
CCIM Institute celebrates William Curtis, CCIM, for his recent recognition as one of
Connect Media’s 2018 Next Generation honorees. The commercial real estate news organization awarded 51 young leaders “who are likely to be influential in the commercial real estate industry for a long time — because of their talent, drive and fresh ideas.” Winners were chosen from nearly 500
nominations gathered from all sectors of the CRE industry across the country.
“I am thrilled to receive this honor,” says Curtis. “I’ve been fortunate enough to have a wonderful career in commercial real estate thanks in no small part to my CCIM designation. I am equally honored to give back to the next generation, especially to veterans like me.”
Currently the leasing manager with Port San Antonio, Curtis transitioned into CRE after seven years in the Army. He earned his Certified Property Manager designation in just four years, followed by his CCIM designation one year later. He also serves as an instructor in the basics of commercial real estate, “where he has established
a goal of seeing his students reach $1 billion in transactions collectively.”
Additionally, Curtis has maintained a solid focus on helping fellow veterans follow in his footsteps of success. He serves as a volunteer mentor with Veterati, a free online mentorship agency that provides career resources for veterans, active duty service members, and military spouses, and runs a Facebook group for veterans who
are real estate professionals.
