2025 Spring Forum - Recap
The 2025 Spring Forum in Miami showcased the strength, innovation, and global momentum of The CCIM Institute. From high-impact networking to strategic updates, the Forum reflected our shared commitment to advancing the commercial real estate profession.
More than just an opportunity to connect, the Forum gave members the space to go beyond business as usual—closing deals, generating new business opportunities, and engaging in exclusive educational sessions designed to sharpen their skills and expand their market insight. It was a powerful reminder that CCIM events aren’t just about showing up—they’re about leveling up.
Unmatched Networking and Dealmaking
The energy in Miami was electric. CCIM Designees, Candidate Members, and guests came together from across the country—which included more than 125 first-time attendees—to create a vibrant, forward-looking atmosphere. The Forum kicked off with a sold-out city tour and welcome reception that drew more than 350 people, setting the tone for two days of high-impact networking.
Nearly 400 professionals packed our Connections Breakfast, while the Networking Lounge buzzed with activity around the popular deal-share board and informal connections throughout the space.
One of the standout moments — “The Big Short: An Evening with Michael Litt” — brought 170 attendees together for an insightful, deal-focused conversation that carried the momentum well into the evening.
Empowerment Through Education
Members had the opportunity to explore the latest tools from CCIM Technologies through a series of Lunch and Learns and Tech Talks. New enhancements within Site To Do Business were introduced, including Quick Reports, Benchmark Demographics, Excel Demographics, a new AI-driven chatbot, and an updated, customizable dashboard. Five new partner products were also unveiled — one of which will be a game-changer for commercial real estate analysis. These innovations reflect our continued investment in technology that empowers CCIMs to work smarter and faster.
CCIM Institute staff also hosted a three-part training series, Unlocking the Power of AI for Chapter Growth and Engagement, designed to help chapter leaders and volunteers leverage AI to support membership growth, marketing, and education efforts. Each session introduced practical strategies to improve event promotion, streamline content creation, and conduct local market research — equipping chapters with accessible tools to expand their reach and impact.
Marketing and Public Relations Expansion That Drives Deals
Our National Marketing Campaign is delivering results — nearly 10 million ads have reached commercial real estate professionals, with engagement outperforming industry benchmarks by 2–4 times. This video-first, targeted approach is boosting CCIM visibility across platforms. To build on that momentum, we’re entering a public relations partnership with ConnectCRE to increase awareness of the CCIM Designation and elevate the reputation of our members. Together, these efforts position CCIMs as the most trusted professionals in the industry — delivering a real, visible benefit to every Designee.
Education Innovation and Global Reach
Instructor development remains a key priority as we continue to invest in the strength of our faculty. This year, 31 instructors auditioned for the 2025 Instructor Training Workshop, and 18 were selected to advance — adding to an already strong and experienced group of CCIM instructors who deliver world-class education across the globe.
Internationally, our education pipeline is gaining momentum. Narxoz University in Kazakhstan is preparing to host two CI 101 pilot courses, and Turkey recently delivered its first CI 103 course—signaling a strong and growing presence in the region. We also have active leads with several new international partners who see the value of CCIM education. Domestically, our University Outreach efforts remain strong, with Texas A&M and the College of Charleston renewing their University Alliance certifications — further reinforcing CCIM’s academic credibility and reach.
Designation and Eligibility Milestones
A total of 188 candidates sat for the comprehensive exam in pursuit of The CCIM Designation. Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, new pathways to the Designation will open, including fast-track eligibility for CFA charter holders and portfolio qualification for commercial real estate attorneys — broadening access while upholding the rigor and reputation of The CCIM Designation.
Celebrating Chapter Excellence
The Chapter Awards Luncheon celebrated outstanding performance across our chapter network. President’s Cup honors were awarded to the Central Canada Chapter (Tier 1), San Antonio/South Texas Chapter (Tier 2), and Wisconsin Chapter (Tier 3) for their exceptional leadership and impact. We also announced the official launch of the Dealmakers Award program on May 5, which will recognize active Designees closing impactful transactions. In support of long-term chapter growth, we’ve extended and enhanced our Chapter Support and Success Business Plan — introducing expanded flexibility to better meet the evolving needs of our chapters and reinforcing our commitment to their continued success.
Anchored in Purpose: A Night to Support Scholarships
The CCIM Institute Foundation hosted a standout fundraising event, Sailing for Scholarships, drawing 250 attendees for an evening of connection and purpose. Featuring both silent and live auctions, the event not only supported future scholarship opportunities but also offered another unique and memorable networking experience for members and guests.
Vancouver is Calling
Our events continue to grow — evolving beyond traditional meetings into dynamic platforms where networking, dealmaking, and education converge. The momentum we’ve built together reflects a future focused on action, opportunity, and value for every member. We look forward to seeing you at the Fall Forum in Vancouver, October 5–9, as we continue to shape what’s next for commercial real estate, together.
