CCIM Institute’s fall conference kicks off with legendary musical talents.

Commercial real estate professionals will convene in Phoenix Oct. 12-14 for CCIM Live!, the CCIM Institute’s 2011 fall conference experience. Legendary entertainers Mick Fleetwood and Henry Kapono will headline Celebrate Live!, an evening extravaganza that will kick off the CCIM Live! event on Oct. 12 at the historic Arizona Biltmore.

Mick Fleetwood is best known as the drummer of Fleetwood Mac, the Grammy award-winning band he co-founded in 1967. He continues to make music with his own blues band, providing the group’s backbone with his unmistakable powerhouse percussion and persona.

Fleetwood will be joined by musician Henry Kapono, the acclaimed winner of Hawaii’s Na Hoku Hano Hano Award for Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year. Kapono’s style ranges from contemporary to island to rock and roll.

"Celebrate Live! will create a unique experience to collectively celebrate all things special about the CCIM Institute,” says Leil Koch, CCIM, president of Equity One Real Estate in Lahaina, Hawaii, who will be inaugurated as 2012 President of the CCIM Institute at the event. “First and foremost we are celebrating our newest CCIM designees as well as the graduation of the 2011 J.W. Levine Leadership Development Academy and CCIM’s esteemed faculty with an annual awards presentation,” Koch adds. “The Hawaiian-themed evening will provide a relaxed atmosphere with island music played by world-famous musicians.”

Keynote speakers National Football League all-time rushing leader Emmitt Smith and sports mogul Jerry Colangelo headline CCIM Live!, which includes educational sessions from leading minds in commercial real estate, including CCIM Chief Economist Kenneth P. Riggs, CCIM, president of Real Estate Research Corp. and Dr. Mark G. Dotzour, chief economist and director of research at the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.
