Membership Options

CCIM has three categories of membership to help you achieve your commercial real estate goals. Institute Membership is for professionals who want to earn the CCIM designation. Membership applications will be accepted upon verification of course registration or successful completion of a course. Current college students and faculty are eligible to join as Academic members, and Associate Membership is for professionals who want membership benefits but don't plan to earn the CCIM designation.

Institute Membership, also called candidacy, is the first step to achieving the CCIM designation. As a member, you’ll have access to exclusive benefits and discounts on CCIM education. Institute Membership types:


If you’re interested in the benefits of membership but don’t plan to earn the CCIM designation, Associate Membership is for you. You’ll get many of the same benefits of Institute Membership aren’t required to take CCIM courses. Associate Membership types (available through STDB):

Ward Center Classes

The Ward Center curriculum includes courses on a variety of topics. Most are available for licensed delivery by approved sponsors such as CCIM chapters. For more information, please contact Angela Hawk, Ward Center Program Manager.

Government & Military Discount

Open to all government and military individuals working in a government agency or in the military, and it qualifies the individual for an institute or designee-class membership.
