with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, offers veterans the opportunity

Bill.

CCIM's newest 166 designees were honored by CCIM Institute and their local chapter members during a pinning ceremony and cocktail reception on Oct. 17 during CCIM Institute's Annual Governance Meetings at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. The new CCIMs hail from 39 states, the U.S. commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and Canada, with the highest concentration in Texas, Florida, and California, and have varying years of experience and work in all aspects of the commercial real estate profession.
“Earning the CCIM designation occurs only after a long and arduous journey which does not end with the pinning,” says 2017 CCIM Institute President Robin L. Webb, CCIM. “It is the beginning of a new and expanded career journey for our new designees which will change their professional lives forever.”

CCIM Institute announced it has named Kiernan “KC” Conway, MAI, CRE, as its chief economist. Conway is the director of research and corporate engagement at the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE) housed within the University of Alabama's Culverhouse College of Commerce.
“KC Conway is a widely respected economist with extensive experience in commercial real estate investment,” says 2017 CCIM Institute President Robin L. selection as three of 40 Women in Real Estate award winners by Connect Media.

Strategic direction, enhanced brand promotion, and Toronto 2017 CCIM Global Conference, Oct. 15-16, dominated the agendas of the CCIM Institute Board of Directors and governing committees during the organization's Midyear Meetings, held April 1-5 at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago. While celebrating its 50 years throughout 2017, CCIM leaders are looking ahead to the next 50 years.
“CCIM's golden anniversary is a great time to reflect on how CCIM Institute instructors and designees have advanced the entire commercial real estate industry,” says 2017 CCIM President Robin L. On its 50th anniversary year, CCIM Institute hosted more than 140 CCIM chapter leaders for the CCIM Institute 2018 Chapter Leadership Training event at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Fla. Chapter officers and administrators attended best practice forums, met with national leadership, and networked with fellow CCIMs.
The highlights of this year's annual event included: a leadership panel featuring current and future CCIM Institute presidents; a President's Cup winning strategies panel; speaker Jay Olshonsky, president of NAI Global; and a keynote address on industry disruption from KC Conway, senior vice president of credit risk management for SunTrust Bank in Atlanta.
