Scholarships Boost Number of CCIM Designees 

The North Texas CCIM Chapter holds event fundraisers for scholarships, awarding 11 scholarships in 2017. “Scholarships help more students take the CCIM core courses to become designated,” says John McClure, CCIM, 2017 North Texas Chapter president. Now in its 23rd year, North Texas hosts an all-day sporting clays tournament, as well as lunch and dinner. The Chapter finds sponsors for 13 sporting clay stations, separate event sponsors, and holds a raffle and live auction. During the past few years, North Texas has raised $14,000 per year to fund the scholarships. In 2017, the Chapter raised a record amount of $18,110.
