Peter Barnett, CCIM, leads PwC's US internal real estate function responsible for a portfolio of over 6 million square feet of Class A space in 6 countries across 100+ offices. He is passionate about not only development of a successful real estate strategy but developing his people by helping them to reach their personal and professional goals. With over 20 years of experience in the global commercial and corporate real estate industry, he has served in a wide variety of roles from broker/consultant to landlord and corporate end user. Barnett brings extensive experience in real estate investment finance together with a deep knowledge of aligning corporate strategy with people strategy, and he is a recognized thought leader and speaker within the corporate real estate industry. He serves as a trusted advisor to partners leading multiple lines of business, providing them a bridge between business strategy and workplace strategy. He is dedicated to enhancing the employee experience through the workplace, using technology and cutting-edge design practices to achieve the optimal people strategies.
Prior to joining PwC in 2009, he served as vice president of a Tampa-based commercial real estate firm, providing brokerage, property management and consulting services to owners and investors.
Barnett has served as a senior instructor of investment analysis and occupier/investor decisions courses since 2008 in countries across North America, Europe and Asia. He has served as chapter president/chair for the CCIM Florida chapter and Corenet Global Tampa chapter. He earned his B.B.A. at Capella University in Minneapolis.
