A message from the global president of CCIM Institute.
I love this industry. I,
along with my colleagues at Shannon Waltchack, get to build wealth through
buying properties — all while earning a living through brokerage. It’s
rewarding on so many levels. While others of you may work in any number of
other areas of CRE, from due diligence to disposition, I’m sure you share this
What’s at the heart of any
deal we’re working on — what’s makes this career so gratifying for me — is that
we get to help people every day. The impact we make is far greater than the
built world we deal in.
You see, a
1,500-square-foot lease to us might seem small, but it is everything to
that family who put their life savings into a new venture.
A 4,000-foot office deal —
it’s not just 4,000 square feet. To the office manager, it’s everything. To the
people who work there, it’s how they earn the money to pay their mortgage. It’s
how they are going to put their children through school.
That’s why people look to
the CCIM pin — each of us brings sophisticated analysis and evaluation skills
to the table to make the most of every deal while never losing sight of the
human factor — our clients and those we work with on a deal.
You’ll see that dedication
