Our virtual world ensures connections can be made anywhere. CCIM Institute, however, realizes face-to-face meetings remain crucial for creating lasting relationships and providing multiple opportunities for our members to meet with their clients and colleagues.
CCIM's exhibit booth at ICSC RECon in Las Vegas, May 22-25, offers meeting space for members and enhances the CCIM brand. More than 36,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors are participating in this international conference for the retail industry. Since 2013, CCIM has doubled its leads and has seen a 15 percent increase in attendance, with more than 1,000 booth visitors last year. CCIM members may reserve meeting tables in 30-minute increments at ccim.com/recon.
In March, I met with many global industry participants at MIPIM, in Cannes, France. These relationships allow us to broaden the reach of the CCIM designation. For the second consecutive year, CCIM Institute joined the USA pavilion, hosted by the National Association of Realtors, gaining access to 21,000 attendees from 89 countries. The substantial CCIM presence creates business opportunities for CCIM members internationally.
Stateside, CCIM is enhancing its participation in the RealShare conferences nationwide by hosting CCIM Institute training and receptions for attendees. For local CCIM chapter members, these conferences are an opportunity to cultivate new business connections. Go to globest.com/events to find a RealShare conference nearby.
Finally, I urge you to join us Oct. 24-25 for our annual conference, CCIM Thrive 2016, in Atlanta at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead.
