FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INFORMATION EXCHANGE
LAUNCHED BY CCIM INSTITUTE AND CATYLIST, INC
.

CHICAGO (June 2002) – Version 1.0 of CCIMNet, an online commercial real estate property database offering unparalleled functionality and designed to provide synergy among users in national, regional and local markets, debuted this month as a collaborative venture between CCIM Institute and Catylist Real Estate Software, Inc.

The database of commercial properties for sale or lease initially will be populated with entries from the more than 7,000 Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) and 5,500 candidate members worldwide, who receive the service as a regular member benefit. Subscriptions are open to any licensed real estate practitioner, real estate company or local association of REALTORS®

Headquartered in Chicago, CCIM Institute is a leading international commercial real estate association. Version 1.0 of CCIMNet will replace an existing property exchange of the same name.

Users of CCIMNet can assemble detailed marketing presentations in “real time” using Property Profiler™ software, which includes a broad array of desirable features: more than 200 fields of property type specific information; multiple images with captions; 360-degree online “virtual tours”; audio/visual files; a variety of site and location maps; password-protected documents; tenant profiles and contact information; and street mapping and location geo-coding.

CCIMNet operates from a revolutionary platform developed by Catylist, a new software development company founded by CCIMs. Through a data “tiering” function, property listings entered into the network can be distributed to national and regional real estate portals, local web sites or a company or personal web site. Users can control the flow of information and reach the widest possible audience.

All data entered into CCIMNet is owned by the user, and an electronic time stamp is embedded into each listing to preserve the integrity of the data; all listings must be updated within 30 days or they get purged from the system.

Individual practitioners and companies can build custom online profiles within CCIMNet. The Agent Profiler™ and Company Profiler™ software let members develop unique identities. For example, an agent can create a biography featuring contact information, a headshot, market areas served, professional credentials and client testimonials. A company online profile can include details on individual agents and listings, as well as monitor sales performance.

CCIMNet also features Comps Profiler™, a function that compiles and organizes sale and lease comparable information. Users of CCIMNet must supply property comparables upon the completion of a sale or lease transaction.

Version 1.0 of CCIMNet also lets users conduct searches for agents in a process similar to the existing CCIM Redbook member directory, and launch multi-tier searches based on property type, as well as simultaneous “for sale” and “for lease” searches.

The exchange was conceived under an aggressive, multi-year timeline. Catylist plans to continually improve the core software in subsequent versions.

Full access to CCIMNet is available for a monthly $29.95 subscription fee. For additional information, contact a CCIMNet representative at 312-321-4460.
