CCIM Partners Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to be a CCIM Partner?
Only CCIM Designees in good standing can join and participate in the CCIM Partners network. It is not open to Candidate or Affiliate members.

What does it cost to join CCIM Partners?
There is no cost! CCIM Partners is another great benefit for those professionals who become CCIM Designees.

Why should I participate in CCIM Partners?
The primary goal of CCIM Partners is to provide the framework so that CCIM designees can do more business and serve clients more effectively. That translates to the potential for increased earnings. Also, only CCIM Partners will have the ability to use special marketing materials, be part of a broadcast email network and participate in regional marketing/educational symposiums.

What do I have to do to enroll in CCIM Partners?
It’s easy. All CCIM Designees need to do is to log in to the CCIM web site by clicking on the Member Services tab. Once you’ve logged in, please click on the line – Edit Professional Profile. There you’ll be able to enter new and expanded information about yourself, your company and your business. The new information you enter will help other Partners and prospective clients find you online.

What are some of the features available to CCIM Partners?
Here are a dozen features CCIM Partners can utilize:

  • Build a custom online resume.
  • Promote yourself, your company and client properties in a rich, descriptive way.

What happened to the CCIM Redbook Member Directory?
Searches for CCIM Designees are now made through the CCIM Professional Directory, which replaced the online Redbook. CCIM Institute no longer publishes a print member directory.

What happens if I don’t participate in CCIM Partners?
It’s to your advantage to become a CCIM Partner because it will help you enhance opportunities to do more business with fellow CCIMs, as well as business people who want to buy, lease, sell or exchange commercial properties. If you do not update your online profile and register as a CCIM Partner, you will not be “searchable” on the web site or have the opportunity to participate in Partner networking/education events.

What are the specific categories for Partners to select?
Online profiles include limited fields for Market Areas and Specialties. Designees can select two of the following Property Type categories: industrial, office, retail, multifamily, hospitality, and land. There’s also an “all” category geared to the generalist. Also, Partners must select two areas of specialization, such as brokerage, leasing, appraisal or others.

What does CCIM Partners have to offer non-brokers?
CCIM Partners can benefit all Designees, regardless of his or her position in the commercial real estate industry. Corporate or in-house real estate professionals now will be able to conduct more detailed and reliable searches for brokers and leasing representatives. Appraisers will be able to promote their services to brokers. Developers will be able to assemble a team of CCIM Partners for a project.
