CCIM Institute and the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute jointly create new fund.

The CCIM Institute and the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute have jointly established and provided the first $10,000 for the Hatlestad Scholarship Fund, which has been created in memory of 2008 CCIM Institute President Timothy S. Hatlestad. The scholarship is designed to assist students who have been devastated by personal tragedies with assistance for tuition payments and other educational expenses. A committee from within the Foundation’s Board of Directors has been created to manage the fund and establish the criteria and disbursement policies.

Hatlestad’s invaluable contributions to the CCIM Institute include serving as president of the organization as well as teaching hundreds of students as a respected member of the CCIM instructor faculty. Hatlestad's distinguished resume also includes serving as 2005 president of the Arizona Association of REALTORS®, earning the organization's REALTOR® of the Year award, and being honored with the organization's Vision Award, which recognized him as the “best prepared real estate practitioner with the highest standards.” In addition to serving as broker/owner of RE/MAX Achievers and president of RE/MAX Commercial Investment in Scottsdale, Ariz., Hatlestad had a profound influence on fellow members of the La Casa de Cristo men’s ministry as well as the organization’s high school youth group.

Individual and corporate donations (tax deductible in the U.S.) to the Hatlestad Scholarship Fund can be made to the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute online (select Hatlestad Memorial Fund under the Fund/Scholarship option) or by mail with the notation Timothy S. Hatlestad. Send in care of the Education Foundation to the CCIM Institute, 430 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 801, Chicago, IL 60611.
