Fifth Ward Center Workshop will Debut in April

CHICAGO, IL (January 5, 2011)—The CCIM Institute’s Ward Center for Real Estate Studies has developed a new continuing education course entitled “Technology and Social Networking Tools for Today’s Real Estate Professional.” The workshop will debut April 5, 2011, in Chicago.

The one-day course will be taught by Todd Clarke, CCIM, chief executive officer of NM Apartment Advisors, Inc., in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It will encompass how to implement the latest technology and social networking tools into a real estate professional’s day-to-day business, thereby adding value to clients. Students will review the latest hardware available, including smart phones, iPads and netbooks, and learn about software and data storage solutions. In addition, participants will develop a business strategy for using social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, through hands-on exercises.

The Ward Center for Real Estate Studies is named after Robert L. Ward, CCIM, who served as the president of the CCIM Institute in 1978 and was a CCIM instructor for more than 30 years. He has played a key role in the development and maintenance of the Institute’s renowned designation education program. Currently, the Ward Center offers four one- and two-day topical workshops, several on-demand webinars, and self-paced online courses.
