CCIM Members Broaden Their Exposure at 2017 ICSC RECon
CCIM members broadened their exposure and prestige with nationally based prospective clients by reserving tables in the 2,400-square foot CCIM Institute exhibit booth at ICSC RECon 2017, May 21-24, in Las Vegas.
“Using the resources of CCIM Institute at ICSC RECon to reinforce their relationships with retail clients is a great advantage for our members,” says 2017 CCIM Institute President Robin L. Webb, CCIM. “CCIM provided an energized and impressive environment to conduct business and meet clients at ICSC.”
With over 37,000 attendees and 1,200 exhibitors, the International Council of Shopping Centers' convention is the world's largest retail real estate event. CCIM members reserved more than 260 tables to meet with prospective and current clients with many scheduling their meetings months in advance.
“I have attended ICSC RECon for more than 30 years and meeting clients at the CCIM booth is a major benefit of the CCIM designation,” says Stephen Brown, CCIM, senior vice president of Kane Realty Corp., in Raleigh, N.C. “I had my own leasing suite in years past but utilizing the CCIM booth is much more cost effective and productive.”
For many like Adrian A. Arriaga, Sr., CCIM, principal of AAA Real Estate and Investments in McAllen, Texas, the reserved tables at the CCIM booth have become an integral part of his business.
"Having the ability to reserve tables at the CCIM booth facilitates the appointment process to maximize our time at ICSC," says Arriaga. "We do a large percentage of our real estate business at ICSC RECon."
Other featured events at the CCIM booth included STDB demonstrations and a cocktail reception. For many first-time attendees such as Jacob Busani of KW Commercial in New York City, who is earning his CCIM designation, the CCIM booth also brought opportunities for enhancing their knowledge of the commercial real estate industry.
“There was always a lot of energy at the CCIM booth,” says Busani. “Whether meeting with clients, learning about digital toolkits, or speaking with CCIM members who are some of the most insightful in the industry, it all helps to improve my business.”
