Nine Chapters Earn CCIM Institute’s 2016 President’s Cup Award
CCIM chapters honored for excellence at organization's Midyear Governance Meetings.
The CCIM Institute recognized nine local CCIM chapters for excellence at its Midyear Governance Meetings in Chicago, held April 1-5. The annual CCIM President's Cup awards program took place on April 4, honoring CCIM chapters that have demonstrated the highest degree of skill, ingenuity, and innovation in promoting the CCIM Institute brand at the local and regional levels.
Chapters from North Carolina, Middle Tennessee, and Connecticut took home first place awards in the three membership tiers.
“Winning the President's Cup was a team effort, in which we completed all the basics of education and networking really well,” says North Carolina CCIM Chapter 2017 President Peter Frandano, CCIM. “We improved by offering more innovative programs for recognition of our members and monthly networking sessions in Charlotte, N.C., and other secondary market cities across the entire state,” says North Carolina CCIM Chapter 2017 President-Elect Beverly Keith, CCIM.
Further west but still in the deep south, the Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter hit key milestones during 2016: a joint networking event with the SIOR local chapter, attracting 75 people; a second endowed scholarship for the CCIM Foundation; and a recognition party for scholarship sponsor H.G. Hill Realty at the City Winery in Nashville, Tenn., which drew 100 participants. “I was ecstatic that we won first place because we have tried so hard to achieve this for many years,” says Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter 2016 President Shane Douglas, CCIM. “We had great participation from our Board of Directors members collectively and held a few more meetings than usual. Holly Buchanan and Scott Andrews should be recognized for making this happen.”
“Receiving the President's Cup Award is validation for all the hard work our volunteers gave to our chapter during 2016, especially our current Chapter President Michael Guidicelli, CCIM,” says Connecticut CCIM Chapter 2016 President Joel Witkiewicz, CCIM. “A multitude of factors contributed to our success, including an improving economy and greater attendance at the CCIM courses we held.”
