Thomas Bothen, CCIM - Country Liaison

Thomas Bothen is principal in Bothen Charles Real Estate Group. Recent transactions include brokering the sale of a $4.1 million industrial property and the sale of a 10 acre site to Hope Depot for $1.6 million. Tom is also developing residential and retail properties in suburban Chicago.

Tom was a regional officer for USAA Realty, managing a multi-state portfolio of office and industrial properties. In addition to managing several hundred million dollars of lease negotiations, Tom initiated development of a 900,000 square foot industrial property for a major international company. He has managed numerous construction projects, completed acquisition due diligence on major office properties and marketed, and sold land to national retailers. He gained portfolio experience on a national basis with Balcor where he managed over 60 properties in various asset classes.

Tom is as a founding director of BOMA Suburban Chicago and served as an RPA instructor. He teaches economics and finance at Lewis University and real estate finance at the University of Illinois Chicago.Tom earned an undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Loyola University and completed an Masters of Business Adminstration in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago.
