CCIM Designation Requirements
CCIM Designation Requirements
Institute Members, also called candidates, are pursuing the CCIM designation through one of the six types of membership below.
- Institute Membership - Pursue the CCIM designation as an Institute candidate, the most common membership for U.S.-based professionals whose goal is to become a CCIM.
- Canada - Pursue the CCIM designation as a Canadian candidate, the Institute candidate equivalent for professionals who live in Canada.
- International - Pursue the CCIM designation as an International candidate, the Institute candidate equivalent for professionals who live outside the U.S. or Canada.
- U.S. Government Discount - Join CCIM at a reduced Institute candidate rate if you are a U.S. government employee or in the military.
- Fast Track - Waive the portfolio and elective credit requirement on your way to the CCIM designation if you have an eligible designation.
- University Fast Track - Waive CI 101 and two of the following courses: CI 102, CI 103 or CI 104, depending on your specific approved university's real estate master's program.
You can also become a member without earning the designation through Associate Membership or Academic Membership.
