Current Role
Tennyson Williams is a Principal Partner of Southpointe Partners, Ltd., an Atlanta-based investment real estate advisory, development, and brokerage firm. Among Tennyson's current projects is the predevelopment and brokerage of "Cliftondale Towne Center", a 100-acre mixed use development in College Park, Georgia.
Professional Background
Tennyson has worked in retail and residential development for 13 years. He has been involved in the development of over 150 free-standing upscale preschools and retail stores (mainly in southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean Islands), along with over 4,200 units of single-family and multi-family housing.
Prior to his association with Southpointe Partners, Tennyson served as Senior Investment Analyst for Prudential Realty Group, where he analyzed the market and financial feasibility of investment-grade retail, office, and multi-family properties for Prudential's pension fund clients. He also supervised regional store development for Maaco Enterprises, Inc.
CCIM and Professional Affiliation Experience
Besides being a CCIM designee, Tennyson is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors® and a member of the Atlanta District Council of the Urban Land Institute where he is a candidate for the Real Estate Development/Finance Certificate.
Tennyson was the Atlanta Director for the inaugural year of the Real Estate Associate Program (Project REAP), a program designed to increase the presence of minorities in the commercial real estate field.
Instructional Background
Tennyson designed and taught courses as a faculty member of the Community Development Certificate Program, a joint effort of the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, Inc. and Clark Atlanta University.
Education
Tennyson holds a BA in Real Estate & Economics. He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in May 1988.
