Current Role

Larry Baumgardner specializes in the development and leasing of neighborhood and community shopping centers. He has experience in all phases of center development from site acquisition to permanent loan financing.

Professional Background

Larry began his real estate career in 1970 as a sales associate with a residential real estate firm in Louisville, Kentucky. While there, he attained the position of Vice President, supervising four offices and over one hundred associates. In 1980 he transitioned into commercial real estate and became President of a firm that specialized in shopping center leasing, management, and development. In 1987, he formed his own shopping center development firm.

CCIM and Professional Affiliation Experience

Larry was a "Subject Matter Expert" in 1990 and 1997 for the CCIM Institute's CI 102 Market Analysis course re-writes. He is a past chairman for the Institute's Designation Courses Committee, CI 101 Committee and CI 102 Committee.

Larry is a past president of the Kentucky CCIM Chapter and has served as a Director for 15 years.

Instructional Background

Larry taught commercial and industrial real estate at the University of Kentucky's Jefferson Community College for 10 years.

Education

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Larry has done post-baccalaureate work at the University of Louisville.
