Introduction to Commercial Investment Real Estate Analysis

CCIM's Introduction course is offered in three different formats:

1. Classroom: Computers are not currently used in the Intro classroom, however a financial calculator is required. Our course materials include keystrokes for the HP 10bII, which is recommended because of its reasonable cost and because CCIM course materials illustrate the keystrokes of this model.
2.

Web: An HP 10bII is recommended. The optimal computer requirements for the web-based version of CCIM's Introduction include:

Internet Explorer v. 6+ , Netscape v. 6+, or Firefox 2.0+
Broadband internet access (The CD-ROM version is recommended for those who are using dial-up internet service.)
Macromedia Flash Player 7+
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Windows 2000+

CD-ROM: An HP-10bII is recommended. The optimal computer requirements for the CD-ROM version of CCIM's Introduction include:

Computer with CD-ROM drive
Internet Explorer v. 6+ , Netscape v. 6+, or Firefox 2.0+
Dial-up/Cable/DSL access (Course content is on the CD-ROM, however other resources and the final examination are administered on the web.)
Macromedia Flash Player 7+
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Windows 2000+

CI 101: Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate

A laptop computer is strongly recommended. This course uses Excel® worksheets provided on a CD-ROM to help solve the class activities and for use on the final exam. Students who bring laptops to class will receive the most benefit from the course material. Excel novices will find the worksheets very user-friendly and simple to navigate.

Student Technology Requirements:
Laptop computer with CD-ROM drive.
Excel® 2000 or higher version (If you have Office 2003, click here for important information.)
Internet Explorer v. 6+ or Firefox 2.0+
Hewlett-Packard financial calculator (HP 10bII recommended)

Use of Apple Computers
MS Office 2008 for Macs does not support macro-enabled Excel spreadsheets. If you are running this version of Office on your Apple Mac you will not be able to use the financial analysis tools used in this course. The spreadsheets will work on Apple Macs that are running older versions of MS Office for Macs.

CI 102: Market Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate

A laptop computer is required: This course uses software provided on CD-ROM to help solve the case studies and perform class activities. Students who bring laptops to class will receive the most benefit from the course material. Although the requirements below list an internet browser, live internet access is usually unavailable during the class; the browser is needed to view many of the CD-ROM files, which were composed in html.

Student Technology Requirements:
Laptop computer with CD-ROM drive.
Excel® 2000 or higher version (If you have Office 2003, click here for important information.)
Internet Explorer v. 6+ or Firefox 2.0+
Hewlett-Packard financial calculator (HP 10bII recommended)
