This Introduction course provides an overview of the key aspects of commercial investment real estate. In two days you will be introduced to the many facets of the dynamic commercial investment real estate field. At the completion of this course you will be able to:

Solve investment problems using a financial calculator.
Understand basic real estate investment analysis tools. You will know how to estimate net operating income, cash flows after tax, and how to calculate the internal rate of return.
Evaluate mortgage loans using compounding and discounting techniques.

Course Length: 2 days, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Credit: 1 CCIM elective credit

Prerequisites: None

Tuition: Please call a CCIM Customer Service Representative at 800-621-7027 (312-321-4460 from outside the United State or Canada) for in-class tuition information. The Challenge Program fee is $235 for the online version and $270 for the CD-ROM version.

Required Calculator: Hewlett-Packard financial calculator. The HP-10B II is highly recommended because of its reasonable costs and because CCIM course materials illustrate the keystrokes of this model.

Examination: An exam is administered on the final day of class. A score of 70% or higher is needed to receive CCIM course credit.
