Blackboard is an online site designed to assist in CCIM education delivery and content management. It also serves as an online community where students, instructors, staff and committee members can share information.

What are the benefits of Blackboard?

Blackboard offers many benefits upon course registration. You are able to prepare for the course, up to 30 days prior, facilitating in your overall course success. Blackboard is easily accessible; to better accommodate your schedule and individual preparation time. You are also provided with great networking opportunities between course instructor(s) and other registered students.

What is available to me on Blackboard?

Blackboard features pre-study materials, downloadable versions of the course reference manual, cd-rom discussion boards, and other resources. Students are also able to communicate with instructors and fellow students, as well as ask questions about the course.

Who is able to access Blackboard?

All registered students, instructors, and staff are able to access Blackboard.

How can I access Blackboard?

Once you have registered for a course, you will receive an email confirmation from the course instructor that directs you to the Blackboard logon.

What is my Blackboard login/password?

Student login/password for Blackboard is the same as the member login for the CCIM web site. For students logging in for the first time, the same rule applies:
Students will enter their 7-digit member ID for both login and password, then create a unique password.

Why can’t I see my course listed under “My Courses” in Blackboard?

There may be a couple of reasons:

  • Students who register for a course won’t see their course under “My Courses” for up to 2 hours after that registration is entered.
  • Access to Blackboard is provided 30 days prior to the start of the class, and ends 60 days after the class.
Who can I contact if I am having difficulty accessing Blackboard?

A Blackboard Online Support Center, also known as Presidium, is included as part of the Blackboard implementation. This support center features an online help page, live chat, and an 800 number
(866-350-4980) that is integrated into the Blackboard site.
