Troubled Assets Workshop

This workshop is designed to assist you in recognizing and finding solutions to manage troubled real estate assets resulting from the current economy. Learn what brought the market to the state it is in today, and the lifecycle of a troubled asset. From there, you will identify where business opportunities exist.

Creative disposition strategies in a distressed market will be outlined, including determining the correct marketing path and probable sale price range given the disposition method (conventional sale, auction, or court-mandated sale). Participants will conclude the session learning how to develop an Asset Management Disposition Plan (AMDP).

Instructors Steve Price, CCIM, and Mark Polon, CCIM have been in commercial real estate, including leasing, sales, consulting and development, since 1980, and spent considerable time in the mid- to late-1980s as troubled assets experts working with the Resolution Trust Corporation and the FDIC on assets throughout the country.

• Identify lender and owner objectives
• Identify action items in conjunction with the AMDP
