Blackboard
Blackboard is an online site designed to assist in CCIM education delivery and content management. It also serves as a community where students, instructors, staff and committee members can share information.
Once students have registered for a course, they are granted access to Blackboard. The CCIM Institute encourages registration at least 30 days in advance to allow students to take advantage of the Blackboard site. Students are able to receive resources, such as:
- Electronic versions of CCIM reference manuals
- Customized Excel spreadsheets
- Transcript reports
- Discussion forums for communicating with other students and course instructors
- A variety of interactive learning tools designed to enhance their educational experience
Course Dates
Dates for sponsored courses are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not conflict with previously scheduled CCIM courses. The licensee, with assistance from the CCIM Institute, chooses the format of the course.
Territory/Scheduling Guidelines
- License Application and Agreements will be rejected for courses that conflict with other CCIM courses. License Application and Agreements will be considered in conflict as stipulated below.
- License Application and Agreements from local or state Boards and Associations will not be accepted until the local CCIM Institute Chapter is notified. Notification should happen during the negotiation stage, not at the time of receiving the contract.
- License Application and Agreements will not be accepted for any course within either the same Metropolitan Statistical Area or 120-mile radius and 180 days of another offering of that course already scheduled unless an exception (see possible exception reasons listed below) is granted by the Institute.
- Licensees may market their courses only within a 120-mile radius of the course location unless the Institute grants an exception.
- The course(s) must be sponsored by a Chapter, a local or state Board or Association of REALTORS®, or a corporation (exclusive to their employees of the corporation).
- Contracts will be considered for approval once the CCIM Institute has received the appropriate deposit and license agreement.
- Contracts must be submitted at least 90 days prior to the start of the course to allow adequate marketing time.
- Courses may be rejected if the CCIM Institute considers it not in the best interest of the Institute.
